We were asked by Can Do Coffee to design the interior of their first static coffee shop. The social enterprise that – through selling coffee – creates meaningful employment, training and rehabilitation opportunities for those who have been overlooked by society, took on a shop unit in West Brompton. They asked us to develop a concept to transform the space and convey their story.

The result was an ‘open box’ design that brings delight to your morning commute. This was achieved through an abstracted floral motif on the ceiling – brewing the good fortune and thankfulness connotation of carnations and the branding guide of the company – a forest of hanging plants and the trickery of mirror cladding. The affect is an endless canopy of planting and vivid horizons. Who needs a coffee after that!
