The panel included Pia Berg, Associate at Penoyre & Prasad who discussed New Studios at Wimbledon College of Arts, Jolyon Brewis, Partner at Grimshaw who discussed The Laboratory at Dulwich College and Tom Noonan, Associate at Hawkins/Brown who discussed The Bartlett School of Architecture. Through a series of light-touch interventions, the new Learning Centre will invite visitors to explore their sense of space and develop an understanding of the architecture that surrounds us every day.

Our vibrant and playful scheme generates a space that is flexible, thought-provoking and unique. The inter-active design encourages user participation, placing learning at its heart while subtly honouring Grey Wornum’s vision for 66 Portland Place with etched glass and brass trims.

Our proposals for the remodelling of Torriano Primary School in Kentish Town has just started on site.

The project will create a new STEM (Science, Technology Engineering and Maths) lab over two floors of an existing turret of the Edwardian School building.

The new space features a double height activity zone with irregular, CNC-cut, laminated ply portals to define the space. The portals include openings that facilitate activities to take place to enhance practical teaching such as pulleys to be hung and fabric to be suspended.

The space also includes fold down demonstration desks, floor projection equipment and a mezzanine to enable students to undertake practical physics experiments. The project also features a south-facing cultivation and growing terrace.
